Telehealth

What is telehealth?

Telehealth simply means connecting via videoconferencing, phone, text, or email, rather than face-to-face. In my practice I use videoconferencing, so that we can see one other and communicate in real time, safely and without masks.

Do I need any special equipment or software?

Nope! All you need is a laptop, phone, I-pad, or other device with both a camera and connection to the internet. At your session time, you’ll find a private location and click on the link I email you. There’s nothing to download and no need to be tech-savvy. We can meet from your home, office, car, vacation rental. . . anywhere with wifi.

Do you offer face-to-face sessions as an alternative? What about outside? With masks?

No, my practice is 100% telehealth and will remain this way for the foreseeable future.

How does telehealth work for little kids with short attention spans?

In my experience, not very well! Seeing young children individually via telehealth can be super challenging and not very effective.

So for children under age 10, our work together will be family-oriented. This means that we will either work together as adults to support your child, and/or engage in parent-child sessions. The younger your child, the more heavily involved you will be in their therapy.

As the center of your child’s emotional world, your participation helps us create deeper and more lasting changes, faster.
